Is your child struggling with their behaviors, emotions, or some developmental concerns that have left you worried or confused? Are you a young adult trying to navigate anxiety, depression, and life’s inevitable transitions? Perhaps you find yourself in retirement, working hard to move through some lingering grief that you just can’t seem to shake? Whatever has led you to my door, I’m so glad you’re here!
No matter your age or background, I would be honored to walk beside you on your journey, as I have experience supporting clients across the lifespan. Whether I’m connecting with children through play therapy, tackling life transitions with teens and young adults, or supporting those who are older with end of life issues and grief, I strive to create a safe space where every client can feel seen, heard, and accepted exactly as they are.
I approach therapy from a person-centered framework, incorporating rational emotive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness techniques where appropriate. Thanks to additional training through a Hood College certificate program in trauma, crisis, grief, and loss, I am also able to operate from a trauma-informed lens, valuing the opportunity to accompany my clients on their grief journey.
Finding a therapist that you connect with can be a daunting task, and I want to acknowledge your bravery in reaching out. I do my best to reduce any anxiety you may have about the therapeutic process by fostering a non-judgemental environment of warmth, collaboration, and respect. I truly believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the center of lasting change, which I diligently build through trust and authenticity.
